After an injury last year took the wind out of my sails, I had to be kind to myself. I now have some not negotiables and build on those when I can. I make sure I close my Apple Watch rings every day. I can walk on the spot in the aisle of a plane or in a restaurant. Family is embarrassed but used to it. I also make sure i get a blue dot on my Peloton calendar - could be a 5 min meditation! I just move.

This is so true. Focusing on the little things we can control makes all the difference. I’ve been known to walk circles around the block or even my apartment to hit my step goal. If my dog is embarrassed, she doesn’t say 🙃
